Detailed description

The Baiting Hollow Club is a privately owned club located on the pristine North Fork of Long Island, in Baiting Hollow, New York.

The course was originally named Baiting Hollow Country Club. It later became the Flagg Country Club, in the 90's it was called The Fox Hill Golf & Country Club. Now that the course has been restored to its original 'glory' it's been renamed the Baiting Hollow Club.

The course first opened for play in 1966. The A 138-acre course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

Built on the bluffs of the Long Island Sound, the Baiting Hollow Club golf course is known for its beautiful vistas, featuring many elevated tees and greens.

The course was recently restored and plays to a par-70 and a maximum distance of 6,920 yards with a course rating of 74.o and a slope rating of 132. With multiple tees, the course presents a difficult, but fair challenge to golfers of all levels.

The Baiting Hollow Club has hosted many outstanding tournaments. Some of these include the 2006 New York State Open qualifier, the 2002 U.S. Open qualifier, the 2001 Met Open, the 2000 U.S. Amateur qualifier, the 1999 Long Island PGA Championship, the 1998 Met Open qualifier, and the 1996 Ike qualifier
